Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height 3 - 4 FeetMature Spread 3 - 4 FeetGrowing Zones 5 - 9Brindabella Roses™ are a collection of top-performing shrub roses with show-stopping flowers. This rose grows up to 4 ft in height and spread, and has a bushy growth habit. Crimson Knight has excellent disease resistance with fragrant, double flowers. Crimson Knight has deep, rich, ruby-colored roses that are simply stunning! This low-maintenance rose is bred to sport the cleanest foliage found in any shrub rose. The buds of Crimson Knight start off as dark burgundy, nearly black, then gradually transition to deep crimson shades with brighter-red highlights as their full-double, fragrant flowers open. Brindabella Roses are vigorous growers in zones 5-9. Crimson Knight can be planted in large containers, in the garden as a focal plant, or as a colorful hedge in the landscape. It is lovely in cut-flower arrangements. Crimson Knight Rose CareFor best flowering, plant Crimson Knight Rose in an area that gets at least 6 hours of direct sun. Plant in rich loam soil amended with plenty of bark, peat, or garden compost for added nutrients and drainage. It prefers soil at pH 6 - 7. Keep the soil moist, particularly in the heat of summer, and make sure the soil is well draining. Apply a layer of natural mulch to maintain soil moisture and reduce weeds. Focus water on the root area and soil; it's best to water in the early morning and avoid splashing water on your rose leaves to prevent mildew. No real pruning or deadheading is required during the growing season. In late winter or very early spring, you can cut the shrub back hard to about 20 inches above the groundthis will keep your Crimson Knight Rose full and bushy. It will quickly fill out once warmer spring temperatures arrive. You can apply a slow-release fertilizer in spring, specifically formulated for roses once your plant is established. Crimson Knight Rose SpacingCrimson Knight can be planted as a single focal point in a perennial border, or planted en masse for a dynamic, colorful impact. Always be sure to consider the mature size/spread (48 inches) when planting Crimson Knight. We suggest spacing these roses at least 3 1/2 ft apart for hedges, and up to 5 ft apart from other plants or surrounding structures to provide ample air circulation.Crimson Knight Rose InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 5 - 9Plant Type: BushesLight Exposure: Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height: 3 - 4 FeetMature Spread: 3 - 4 FeetSpacing: 3 - 4 FeetHabit: Mounded, UprightFlower Color(s): Pink, PurpleFlower Description: Bloom Period: Foliage Type: DeciduousFoliage Color(s): GreenFoliage Description: Seasonal Interest: Summer FloweringWatering: AverageResists: DiseaseTolerates: N/AAttracts: ButterfliesContainer Role: Uses: Borders, Containers, Hedges & Privacy, Mass Planting, Specimen or Focal PointFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Cut Flowers, Fragrant, Low Maintenance, Continuous Blooming or RebloomerBrand: Common Name: Brindabella Roses™ Crimson Knight RoseOther Name(s): Scientific Name: Rosa x | Shrubs > Flowering Shrubs Plant Addicts 1013713-pc
